No one should have to fight alone.
We're in your corner.
Free weekly boxing and football for men in Nottingham, with food, brothers, and a fresh start.
If this is you
Maybe you've been on the ropes for a while.
Maybe it's the drink, or the gear, or the gambling. Maybe you've just come out, or you're sofa-surfing, or the house has gone quiet since she left.
Maybe you smile at work and then sit in the car for an hour because you can't face going in.
Maybe nobody's ever really had your back. No dad. No brothers. Just you.
You're not the only one. And you don't have to stay down.
"The Lord is close to the brokenhearted." Psalm 34:18

Why "In Your Corner"
Both sports have a corner.
In boxing
The corner is where a fighter is patched up.
Between rounds, a battered fighter sits on the stool and is cared for by someone who believes in him.
In football
A corner is a second chance to score.
A fresh opportunity. A team lining up together to make it count.
In Your Corner gives you both: someone who believes in you, and a second chance, with a Cornerman who never leaves.
Behind it is a group of ordinary men from churches across Nottingham who feel called to stand with men who feel alone — because most of us have been on the canvas ourselves, and we know what it means when someone steps into your corner.

Your cornerman
A man who's got your back.
Every man gets a cornerman: someone who knows your name, trains beside you, eats with you, and is on WhatsApp in between. Some of them have been exactly where you are.
Most of them have been on the canvas themselves, so they know what it is to get back up. They'll show up for you week after week, no questions asked. If faith ever comes up, they won't shy away from it. If it doesn't, they'll still be there.
When the season ends, you'll be introduced to a Barnabas mentor who'll walk with you for the long haul: housing, recovery, family, work. One next step at a time.
"Two are better than one… if either falls, one can help the other up."
Ecclesiastes 4:9–10

Boxing Showcase
Walk out to your own song.
Every boxer walks to the ring with his cornerman beside him, in front of a crowd that's there for him. Then it's pad work with his coach — everything he's learned, under the lights. Non-contact, all heart.
Charity Football Match
Our lads vs a local team.
The football squad takes on a local side in a proper match for charity. Kit on, families on the touchline.
